Dr. Rodney Reyes
| My name is Rodney Reyes. I retired after 23 years from the U. S. Army in October 2005. I am the instructor for COSC/ITSC 1301, Introduction to Computing/Computers at Northwest Vista College. I have taught student developmental courses, introductory computer courses, and introduction to web design at the college and university level since January 2006 (Hybrid, F2F, Remote (Zoom), Fully Online). I have completed an associate degree from Pikes Peak Community College; a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado Christian University; a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Information Systems and Technology (Delta Mu Delta) from the University of Phoenix. My research involved The Management Process of Assistive Technology in a Postsecondary Institution which focused on students with disabilities, assistive technology, professional development, and legislative requirements in higher education. I am the Northwest Vista College Salute Veterans National Honor Society Advisor. I take an active interest in the All-Ranks Club open to all students who are active, veteran, retired, and their dependents. Professor Michael Madrigal
| I am adjunct faculty and have been teaching computer science specific courses at NVC since 2010. The topics I have taught throughout the years include Java programming, intro to databases, web programming, and Android programming. I am currently working full-time at Frost Bank as an Android developer. I have been working professionally in the computer science field since 2006. Prior to my time as a software developer, I spent 8 years as an enlisted service member in the US Navy. During my time in the Navy, I attended Hawaii Pacific University and earned a B.S. in Computer Science. |
