I retired from the Air Force in 2016. 16 of my 20 years in the Air Force were in information technology (IT). I've worked on Windows servers, Solaris Servers, various Windows workstations, Solaris workstations, and Cisco switches/routers. I've written and maintained scripts used in the
administration of networks and designed/written a couple applications.

In the last couple years of my Air Force career, I did some project management. After retiring from the Air Force, I completed my bachelor's degree at Park University, and two master's degrees at St. Mary's University, with a master's certificate in cybersecurity. While completing my master's degrees I was employed as the Computer Science Department's Graduate Assistant (GA). As the GA I aided professors in the classroom and tutored students. This is when I discovered I enjoyed teaching. Upon completing my master’s degrees, I started teaching part-time at St. Mary’s University, and Northwest Vista College. From there, I started teaching full-time at Northwest Vista College. I have taught C, C++, Java, and SQL; I am also familiar with Python. I have also worked with C#, R, PowerShell, Bash scripting, VBA, COBOL, and HTML/CSS.
